sometimes when I'm down about the state of my current fandom

i think about the last show I watched as a casual viewer. a member of the General Audience.

and I think about how I know, with absolutely certainty

that in that show's fandom

some fight is going on over one particular line of dialogue

there's a debate over some character's microexpressions

there's a virulent slapfight between fans of actor A and fans of actor B

there's a ship war raging

people are microanalyzing the meaning of a particular scene

and getting mad at each other the interpretations

of various lines, expressions, shot choices, tweets, publicity quotes, and costuming choices...

...none of which I even know about or remember in the slightest.

and that's what it's like for 99.9% of the viewers of MY blorbos.

i find that reassuring.

imo any/most "wieiad" vids are inherently disordered, your weight doesn't matter it's just that making a video recording your food and what you eat and making you keep track of that isnt normal
